Xbox 360: Is It Worth Buying?

Since the Xbox 360 was first released, the question of whether or not it was a good buy, something that would compete with and overtake its competition, the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii, has loomed over gamers’ heads. Is it worth the price tag? It was impossible to know at first, but in the months since then, it has become more and more clear how things might turn out, with the final release of the PS3 and Wii consoles and the release of some of the Xbox 360’s biggest and most anticipated titles.

Xbox 360 ISO: How It Works

The introduction of any game console that runs on DVDs or CDs always invites underground gamers who rip and share these games via the Internet. It takes more than just copying the files from a game disc to backup an Xbox 360 game though. The ability to modify the ISO and sometimes the console itself so that it can play the backed up ISO discs is also necessary, and often illegal.

XBox 360 XBLA Games Reviewed

The one feature that made the Xbox stand above its competition in any category was Xbox Live. The inclusion of online play with a fully featured service was a long time in coming and with the Xbox 360, Microsoft upped the ante, creating a full featured lobby system, with rankings and an Xbox Live Arcade feature (XBLA) that offered gamers a chance to download some of their favorite old games directly to their hard drives. The service, a direct access feature of Xbox Live is a great way to not only access your favorite games of arcade times long past, but to play them against your friends online. Of the many XBLA offerings so far, three stand above the rest as the best available at the moment.
